Killarney Animal Hospital was founded in 1998 by Dr. Mangat, a dedicated Vancouver veterinarian with over 27 years of experience. After earning his veterinary degree in 1990, he continued his education at Iowa State University and began practicing in the U.S. in 1995. In 1997, he moved to Canada and opened Killarney Animal Hospital to serve the pets and families of the Killarney community.

Dr. Mangat has a deep passion for veterinary medicine and provides care for dogs, cats, ferrets, rabbits, chinchillas, and guinea pigs. His professional focus includes orthopedic and complex surgeries, dentistry, and ongoing support for local rescue societies.

One of our most memorable rescue stories is Oliver’s. In 2019, Oliver came to us as a sick stray found on the streets. After a month of hospitalization and rehabilitation, he stole everyone’s hearts — and he’s been part of our Killarney family ever since.
